| "The Raviv programme has given
both my dyslexic children a second chance at school. I have two dyslexic
children who have both benefited enormously from the Raviv programme. Although
both are dyslexic they were affected in different ways and the programme
was able to help both children, enabling them to catch up at school and
has restored their self-confidence in reading. This renewed confidence means
as reading is no longer a struggle, there is more time just to concentrate
on what is being taught during lessons at school. Daily life has improved
no end, as both children are happier at school and more organised. This
has reduced the former stress over homework." (Parent, Cardiff, South Wales.) "James now enjoys reading books for pleasure, which he just couldn’t do before doing Raviv. The first time we were conscious of a breakthrough was when he was playing on his computer games, we realised he could follow all the instructions without having to ask for help, which previously he had to do. He could read and understand what was on the screen on his own. His memory is also now much better. He now recalls in great detail the TV documentaries he likes to watch. His recall of the events also makes perfect sense. His handwriting is also better. There is a marked difference in his behaviour. We had problems with naughtiness and aggressiveness. He is now calmer, far less fidgety and much more tolerant." (Parents of eight-year-old, Cardiff.) |
"Prior to starting the Raviv
programme my daughter was getting into trouble in school through her lack
of organisation and her forgetfulness. School was aware that she was getting
worse and had asked me to cancel some of her out of school activities; I
did not think the activities were the problem; I explained this and told
them about Raviv, they were very supportive. At Xmas they were aware that
things were improving, at this time we had her tested and found she had
a problem with her processing speed, her school were supportive with lessons
on organizational skills. Her report and results at the end of the school
year were excellent, and more importantly she has regained confidence in
herself and her abilities. Other improvements are that she now runs rather
than galloping, and she hardly ever walks into doors now. Prior to this
we have a history of trips to casualty as she was always falling over or
bumping into things. Her co-ordination is now very good." (Mother of 13-year-old, Cardiff ~ 2007) "The most fantastic change in him is that he wants to read, he has actually started borrowing books from his older brother. The Raviv Programme has really changed his life for the better." (July 2009) |
